We have tried lots of apps over the course of our adventures, and here are the ones we can’t live without!

Roadside America

Great for finding interesting places to take a break. Lists lots of off the beaten path places and oddities, but has lead us to some really amazing discoveries.

Pinterest

Seriously, what did we do before this app? Great planning tool – especially now that you can create sections within boards. Check out our boards at www.pinterest.com/BakerAndBiker/.

TV Food Maps

A compilation of restaurants featured on various shows. Great for keeping track of places we have visited and keeping a list of places we want to go.

Waze

Nothing is worse than being stuck in traffic and not knowing if there is a way around it. Waze to the rescue! Using real-time crowd sourced data, it helps to route you around trouble areas, if possible.

Gas Buddy

Great for finding the cheapest gas as you travel – often if you just go a few miles off the interstate prices drop considerable.

All-Stays Camp & Tent

Great for finding the cheapest gas as you travel – often if you just go a few miles off the interstate prices drop considerable.

SpotHero

Heading into a larger metro area and need to park – make sure to check out this app! You can search for, reserve, and pay for a spot in local garages often far cheaper than if you just drive in. Yes, you need to pre-pay, but Biker has saved a ton parking around Boston. More cities being added all the time.

Yelp

Mostly for seeking out places to eat. Good cross check for accommodations.

Booking.com

We never make reservations – but instead make last minute reservations when we get ready to stop. It has bitten us once, but these apps usually help us find a decent place to lay our heads. We often find a place and rate here then go to the actual hotel site to book – or call and ask for that rate.

We also use Hotels.com too.
